I've had the same problem with separation.  Good tip on the moly grease
from Valvoline

For cleaning up greasy messes I blot it up first as best I can with paper
towels then I use degreaser I buy at sam's club.  Purple color in gallon
bottles.  It's stronger than the purple power stuff the home repair places
sell.  Straight from the bottle it will cut grease and oil buildup quickly
and you can cut it with water for lighter degreasing.  It is hard on
aluminum and after rinsing steel parts will flash rust nearly immediately.
