It may take some age and strain, and you may never push it past that
point to where it will fail.  But if it does (and the chances of it
failing are better than the chances of black iron or copper failiing)
then it ~will~ shatter.

It was known to be a bad idea 40 years ago.

Sure, it isn't likely.  But it's not unlikely.  And I wouldn't want to
be around when it happens.
