         On the last two sets of brakes I've done I used Zimmerman coated 
rotors.  They come with a light gray coating on the whole rotor.  The pads 
clean off the friction surface and the coating prevents the rest of the 
rotor from rusting.  The coating has lasted the life of the rotor.
