The interesting thing is that the Xylene-based paints are totally incompatible
with mineral spirits:  If you try to thin the paint or clean the brush, you
just get a gummy mess.

Lacquer thinner also works, but that stuff is not so healthy for cleanup...

my guess is that xylene dries faster than mineral spirits.  But maybe it is
just to be 'different';-)
