I use a combo unit, like :

Likewise, my unit is less than ideal but has met my needs for many years.
Been hoping it would break so I could justify buying something better, but
so far it has stood up to all the abuse I've given it, including tightening
the handles with a BFH. Although the swivel head takes some getting used
to, I really like being able to position things to work on them. Since
space at my bench is somewhat limited, it's nice being able to lay a 20'
length of pipe over the top of the drill press and still have the end I'm
working on at elbow height.
