I didn't study the device in the link you sent. We did have an automatic pool
cleaner for our above ground pool (at our previous house).
It worked well. It used the water flow (via the vacumm hose) to power the
wheels as it moved randomly about the bottom of the pool. It did take a few
hours to get near 100% coverage. But it was nice to simply hook it up, go do
other things and come back a few hours later to a clean pool.
