Unless you have the stupid "smart" thermostat like the one on my
furnace.

Great, unless the weather changes. If it's suddenly cold outside, it
takes longer, so it doesn't hit the temperature on time. But worst,
when it's a warm spell, the furnace kicks in too early, and brings up
the temperature too soon, and if you're sleeping you start to get too
hot and kicking off the covers instead of sleeping snuggly under the
covers. Progress.... :-(

  Tim,
You may be able to jumper out (or change jumpers) to disable this feature.
This is the case w/our Honeywell Chronotherms. Check the back of your
thermostat or... read the manual (often available on-line). It is indeed,
criminal to wake up an hour too early on a work day.
