Sounds reasonable...  Washers aren't all that complex, and I can't think of 
anything else that would cause that.

Good ol' Sears has a great on-line parts store http://www3.sears.com/  with 
stuff for most all brands of appliances, power equipment, etc.  They have 
nice scanned in parts diagrams, and prices available.  They're not the 
cheapest, but even if you go to a local parts place it's good for price 
comparison and the diagrams.
