I know what you mean; my driveway gate operator crapped out (again) and I
have to open and close the gate manually, at least until I get a new one
installed.

FWIW, as far as I'm concerned, the Mighty Mule gate openers sold by
Northern Hydraulics are junk. I have had mine for a little over 2 years
and it's been a constant PITA. It's difficult to adjust, and continually
blows fuses. A couple of months ago the power head literally exploded. I
sent it to the local repair station where they rebuilt it for "only" about
half the cost of the original setup, and two months later it won't hold the
adjustment for more than one day before it starts blowing fuses again. I
finally disconnected it and am having a new chain link gate built to
replace the farm gate, and will have a Patriot operator installed.
