A buddy had one made up of iron pipe.  It was basically an A-frame at 
either side, with a cross piece, and a couple braces connecting the 
two.  (Think swing set.)  The A frames threaded into the top piece, so 
that it broke down into five easy pieces (or at least five pieces one 
person could deal with.).
