I have them on my table saw, bandsaw, and portable planer (which I have
bolted to a generic stand I got from Home Depot). They work pretty well
although the casters supplied weren't quite up to the job on the table saw.
I replaced them with some heavier duty casters I found at Northern and they
seem to be working fine now.
You can also get (or make) platforms or frames with locking casters. I
chose these retractable ones because I didn't want the additional 3" or 4"
height at the work surfaces that this strategy adds.
