quick search on net shows
chop saws running from 1800 to 5000 rpm... with the bladed saws running on
the lower end
most abrasives are from 3400-4500
looking at miter saws... Hitachi 3400 rpm Delta 5200 Dewalt 4000
note Dewalts 14" abrasive chop saw blade is rated 4100 rpm top speed...
speeds look comparable... if carbide scares you use a standard blade I
guess or a slower saw...
