Somewhat off topic, and I apologize, but since I will
be working on it in my "shop," maybe it qualifies. ;)

I have a '75 Ford E150 (300 CID inline six, manual
trans) that I just love (had it since the '70's) for
hauling the motorcycles, lumber, hay, you name it.

It (and I) spent a good deal of time in Michigan before
coming to Los Angeles, and it has some rust that I
would like to repair (runs great, but does not look
great).

I could patch or replace most the rusted parts, and in
the end, I think time/effort-wise, it will be easier
just to bolt on the new parts (money will come easier
than time).

The question I have is regarding the roof. It has
serious surface rust on about 80% of it, and has rusted
through in several spots. Now I have been up there and
started working on it with the intention of fixing, but
due to the size of that particular project, I was
curious if anyone here knew of where I could find a
replacement roof (steel or otherwise) which I think
would take a good week of work off from the project.

I would consider one of those plastic/fiberglass roofs
like you see on conversion vans, but living in LA, it
would be nice to be able to park it in a parking
structure.

Three questions from this long prelude:

(1) any newsgroups out there specializing in autobody
(2) any sources of large body parts
(3) any ideas from the resident brain trust?

thanks,
