I looked at the prefabbed block windows at home depot to see how the silcone
and the mortar windows were put together. I decided there was no way I was
buying that much silicone. The mortar was a lot cheaper and I prefer the
look. The block and mortar also allowed me to adjust the overall length and
width slightly. The silicone prefabs were put together essentially glass
against glass and wouldn't fit my existing window space as well (would have
resulted in large end and top gaps).
