Kevin,
I will second the info that Ben gave you. Although it has not happened to me
with the same frequency as to Ben, I too have had idle problems with an early
90s Chrysler 3.3l mini-van engine. The problem comes and goes, when coming to
a
stop, then engine speed drops, or the engine stalls. When everything is
working
well, the engine speed is remarkably stable. When the Idle Speed Control is
not
working well the idle speed is eratic.
When I removed the ISC, it was not all that dirty, but after cleaning it the
problem was solved.
