I, too, have had reasonably good experience with these.  Use some ear 
protection, they are loud, especially if you are working in an enclosed 
space like a basement.  They sell different charges with different amounts 
of power, for going into different materials.  There is a sort of a chart 
on the back of some assortment packages, but some experimentation is 
needed.  I wouldn't worry about them pulling out.  Mine seem to be in there 
really well.  Besides, for this application, there will be no pulling 
force, really just a shear force if someone pushes on the wall.  I wouldn't 
count on these to keep the house on the foundation in an earthquake.  For 
that you need bolts and threads.
