Preston: I've had this unit for about 2-3 years now in my garage and have used
it for everything from air tools to painting to bead blasting for my '61 TBird
restoration project. My only complaint with the unit is that it is loud. You
might want to consider installing it somewhere out of earshot or do what I did
and build an enclosure for it using acoustic tile. Other than that, just take
the standard compressor safety steps: good plumbing (I like iron pipe but I'm
not going to open that topic again!), water traps, drains, etc. and it should
keep going for quite a while.

Within the last few days I bought for a very good price a one year old
Sears 60 US gal upright with a 6 hp motor - Model number 919.721971. It
has SCFM of 9.2 at 125 psig, 10.2 at 90 psig, and 12.5 at 40 psig.

If anyone has any advise on using this model I would appreciate it - also
if someone has an archive/FAQ on air compressors I would appreciate if it
were sent to me. In fact, any advise on the use and care of compressors
in general is solicited

Thanks

Preston Smith
