My local parts store (O'Reilleys) carries various sizes of u-bolts for front
axles. Also check with local trailer stores.

Has anyone used the polyethylene liner that fits between the spring leaves?
I replaced a broken main leaf on the front of my 53 this last weekend and put
the
liner in as I reassembled the spring.
Now the spring is thick enough that the u-bolts can't be tightened completely.
Should I remove one of the short spring leaves?
None of the vendors seem to offer longer u-bolts.

Thanks in advance,
Leon
