[oletrucks] rust treatment

  Have any of you heard of using caustic soda to cut rust from metal? I
read about it and the article said one treatment of soda followed by a
treatment of muratic acid and then soda again. Rinse with water and
apply pre paint metal prep. Is this off the wall stuff? Just curious.
