Take it to NAPA. If it's an alternator, he probably has it in stock. If it
is a generator, he can tell you, and you'll probably need to take it to a
generator shop. They often can rebuild them.

My question is this: is this thing equipped with an alternator or a
generator, and are they easy to find? It's 12 volt, and I have had zero time
to go over there and look at the truck. What is the difference between an
alternator and a generator? Is there one? Will I be able to go to Napa and
get a new one or will I have to order it from a place like Chevy Duty?
Thanks for your help.
