If you like raw, very fresh oysters, one of the best around is Drakes
Bay Oysters a few miles past Inverness. You have to look for the dirt
road on the left that leads you into the oyster farm. You can shuck your
own or pay a little extra for pre-shucked. They provide condiments such
as the lemon and hot sauces. Picnic tables out overlooking the bay.
Bring your own wine and French bread and you have an instant picnic.
Another of our favorite is inside Point Reyes Station: The Station
House. BBQ or raw oysters on the half shell. Sometimes they have live
music too.
