OK,

Ill chime here. I appreciate all the thank you's. We had really good day,
and a great turn out, more than I expected. By my count, we had either 28 or
30 cars for the day, including the Toyota, but heh, a member is a member,
even if they do drive a Toyota. Mel tells me he has a 79 Midget, albeit on
blocks for 10 years. Maybe he'll have for next year. I want to apologize for
the confusion on the lap time, I got some bad info, but as it turned out,
everybody made it plus some, (I signed Duane and Sean up sitting in the
stands) and we did go off at 5 PM. I was less than impressed with the laps,
too many cars and too many stops on the track, that was lame. But as Sarto
put it , and for those that not had the experience of driving this or any
other track, it is a very cool experience, and I hope all enjoyed it. And I
hope we can get more people to do this again, such as at the boat / car show
in San Rafael, we could do Thunder Hill, and most certainly next year at
Infineon, or there are more events coming up this summer. Nascar might be
possible, but would be pretty expensive, and probably too close time wise
(two weeks from now). A better possibility might be the IRL event in August.
That is usually sparsly attended, and they bend over backwards to get people
in, we could probably get a pretty good set up for that. Mike D'Addario was
really impressed with our turn out and the quality of our cars, he would
love to have us back for any of their events. Even my dad was impressed with
the turn out, he had many comments on the group and the cars, all positive.
Next time out though, we have to our fearless leader, RON.

Again, thanks for all the thanks, Frank, thanks for the 7 Deadly Zins, it
wasn't necessary, but I'll enjoy it just the same, and a BIG thank you to
Tim for the ticket purchase, that was huge. I'm really glad that everyone
enjoyed the day, let's do it again, SOON.
