The "Ferrari" used in Ferris Bueller's Day Off was actually a re-bodied
Corvette. A fiberglass specialist named Tom McBurnie made the body in an old
building on Santa Barbara airport, from which he moved to set up production
elsewhere in SoCal - until he was threatened with a sizeable lawsuit by
Ferrari for making too good a copy of their car without their permission.
