I really can't help with your problem.  But I thought this was a good time to
point out that the typical arraignment for studs is course on one end, and fine
on the other.  Fine is the nut end, and course is the block/head/etc side.  MG
for some strange reason used fine on both ends, unusual, and not as strong.
