After two years of off and on effort the GT (69) is almost ready for
paint. The two years of mostly weekends has been spent doing the familiar
sills, fenders, dog legs and interior. I do have some questions that I hope
some of you may be able to help me with.

1) I have taken the chrome around the windshield out complete with the
corkscrew curling. Is there any way to take out small imperfections (dents)
in the chrome ? A small tree limb fell on the car and there is some
deforming of the strip. On the same topic now that the chrome is out, how
do I remove the damaged windshield ? Lastly on this section , I understand
that the chrome strips are made of (unobtanium) and must be re-used. Tell
me again that they straighten out ,and can I at least buy a new rubber seal
that goes around the windshield.

2) On the face of the rain gutters on each side is a chrome strip. Any
ideas on how to remove them. Visual inspection doesn't show any attachment
mechanisms. Also if I screw up can I buy new ones. Lastly how do I get the
chrome off of top of the doors. Again visual inspection does not give clues.

3) On an unrelated area where can I buy sebring style front lower valance
to dress the car up a bit.

Thanks in advance for all your help. This is one great list
