Valve cover gasket

Hello All,

this may be a dumb question, but I am putting a new valve cover gasket on
my B. My hanes just says "refit the rocker cover...". But do I need to
put any RTV stuff on the gasket at certains points ( I had to put a dab
at each coner of the valve gasket on my old H***a C*v*c).
