Anti run on mech MGB

Hi,

I find in an invoice of he previous owner a text:

"Anti run on mechanism incorrecttly fitted"

Can someone tell me what it is, what it does or of what parts it exists?

I found this remark on the invoice together with other things -which I
understood-, and which were not fixed.

Any help is appreciated.
