The experience amongst our race buddies is that headers which are
wrapped in the thermo wrap rust out very quickly. Welds have been seen
to crack also.

The people who have used the ceramic coating (e.g. jet hot) are pretty
happy.
They report slightly lower engine bay temps and the life is *meant* to be
very
very good.
