To remove your broken key, you might want to try a very powerful magnet.  A
friend with a BMW used this trick to get a broken steel key from his
ignition.  If it's a brass key, don't use a magnet, I promise it won't work.
 Which reminds me of how I learned how to pick locks from a crafty old
automotive veteran.  Simply point to the lock in question while saying in a
loud voice, "That's the one I want!"   8*)  But seriously, folks...
