Use a non resister type coil only if your car's wiring does not have a built
in resister, otherwise, you will have a weak spark, which may cause the type
of symptoms you were trying to cure in the first place. Some MGs and some
Triumphs came from the factory with a ballast resister, and some didn't,
depending on the year of manufacture.
