I can verify that the Smoothline regular B hood has no center support
bar.

Smoothline has a fiberglass C hood that would probably work. Also, their
fiberglass B hood doesn't have the support bar in the middle, that may
be enough room.
This is hear say. I don't have one of their hoods, or even known if I've
seen one.
And I agree, I like the look of the RV8.
