Has anyone switched to synthetic ATF for their T-5? I am curious if there is
much improvement in the smoothness of the shifting. My T-5 is not near as
smooth as I remember my stock MGB trans. being.
Heads UP: Are you really running enough fluid in your T-5? The Camaro boys
say 3.5 quarts (US). If you are only filling it up 'til it runs out the fill
hole, remember in a Camaro or Firebird that hole was higher up (angled
mounting bracket). When I change the fluid, I think I will jack up the right
side to get more in. I really don't want to take the shifter back out to pour
in the extra 1.5 quarts. The first time around, I could only get 2 qts. in
with the car level. I poured one more in thru the shifter hole.
