A few days ago there was a brief discussion about aligning the clutch
disk prior to installing the trans. I commented that the clutch kits I
had purchased included a plastic tool for this.
Tonight, while looking through the Summit catalog, I see they sell the
plastic tools for Ford & GM. For a GM T-5 (26 spline) the part # is
SUM-G1341, price is $8.39 US. If you don't have a spare input shaft
around, this works very well. They are available (not from Summit) for
MG's as well, for the cylinder challenged. I have old ones for Midgets &
B's that I believe came from Moss.
