a question that's more academic than for practical application. How do you
hold the hand crank, without claiming medical expenses for broken fingers (or
thumb). I've heard stories that a certain technique should be practiced, or is
this a myth?
Also, on TC 9356 the shape of the pulley opening for the crank end are not
perpendicular (i.e. the side that the pins of the crank engage against for
turning, not the curved side that releases and ejects the crank). This appears
just to be from wear, but it is worn enough that it is difficult to get
sufficient hold on the engine to turn. Imagine it a bit like trying to turn
the engine backwards with the crank handle, and naturally it just pops out.
Could I file these to remove the curving and restore a straight side, or is it
designed this way?
