If we're talking TD here, remember that the first 8000 or so TDs used BSF.

I agree with the 1 1/4 socket size.  I had the same problem - mine had  not 
been removed in 25 years.  I put a breaker bar with a 8' pipe over the
handle 
and it came off very easily.  The inch size seems to be a better fit  and
will 
not round out the corners.
