You could offer two classes: Concours & a "Wash & Show" (or whatever you
want to call it). Anyone would be free to enter any car in either class. But
judging in concours would presumably be on a more stringent basis where
originality would carry a heavier weight. The serious trophy seekers would
surely enter their trailer queens in this category. The 5- speeds,
Volvo-engines, disk-brakes, daily drivers or whatevers could enter the wash
& show which could be judged by more relaxed standards. Perhaps judges for
concours (where are you going to get them?) and popular vote for Wash &
Show.

This might allow the most owners to enjoy their cars in the manner that
gives them the greatest pleasure and, hopefully, bring out more cars,
whether on trailers or on the road, for the greater enjoyment of all.

That said, regardless of the number of events or categories, there will
always be some who are not satisfied.
