Hi Stu,
Sounds as though your left rear brake is dragging. Try backing off one
click on the Micram adjuster.
Something else to check is that the handbrake cables are set properly.
Notice how the threaded end protrudes through the bottom of the handbrake
lever. Notice how the handbook says to leave those brass nuts alone.
Notice how most DPOs can't bear to not start spinning those nuts, and how
it mucks up the adjustment of the cables.
So now you have to go back to the handbrake levers on the back of the
wheels to adjust the cables. Pull the handbrake cable clevis pins.
Adjust the brakes with the Micram adjusters. Then, having pushed the
levers to their resting position, you have to adjust the nut at the lever
so that the clevis pins just drop through the holes in the levers when
the handbrake is fully released, neither pulling nor pushing the lever,
but just dropping though easily. This sounds more complicated than it
really is.
Now, when the service brakes are properly adjusted, the handbrake is
also properly adjusted, the wheels should turn freely, sun should shine
and birds will sing.
