The Factory maintained the new car warranty on supercharged P-types provided
the boost was no more than 6 psi. Sounds like #they# were confident enough.
Back in the 60s I crewed in a blown P-type in hill-climbing trials on a few
occasions. The performance was startling - if the hill was anything like
straight the car would be accellerating all the way to the top.
