NASCAR ought to just contract with some shop somewhere and have them build
"spec" cars for all the teams, and then run videos of cars speeding around
the track, and let the pit crews compete to win or lose. More car lengths
are gained and lost in the pits than on the track anyway! NASCAR has
become nothing more than bracket racing in a circle. Instead of handicaps,
they just make all the cars run the same!
and that's my two cents!

Sounds incredibly exciting! Videos of spec cars! I'm sure they would fill
the stands like they do now. LOL
Gee, are you guys real hot rodders who appreciating any cars that goes fast
or is your world in LSR exclusively and everything else is sub-standard in
your eyes???
Did you ever experience oval track racing first hand? I've run dirt track
roundy rounds for years and it takes a tremendous amount of skill and cunning
to
score. You not only compete against the varying track conditions but there
are a bunch of guys out there "nerfing" you out of position. I would say skill
level for an oval car driver far exceeds the skill levels going down a
straight track. I know it's harder that piloting a drag car and I'll find out
what
it's like to dance along on the fringes of traction on the salt myself this
year. I grew up in Chicago and am hoping my experience driving on packed snow
and ice will help. From what I hear, it's a lot alike.
My two centavos.
Odd Toe
I say don't knock it until you've tried it.
