Neil,
According to Bob Pierson, who spent a number of years in engineering
with Northrop Aircraft, the best aero shape (I am thinking profile here)
is a diamond and the next best is a wedge. In other words a diamond cut
in half. This supports the chopped off tail. I like to think that it is
a good shape since my car is basically a wedge.
