Get a copy of Mil-Spec MIL-R-47196A (or latest rev). "Rivets, Buck Type, Preparation For Installation Of". It will tell all you want to know about rivets. There are some very good tables for all the critical dimensions you need. Avery Enterprises (817-439-8400) was an excellent source of all things for riveting. They made up tool kits for experimental aircraft builders. Many builders raved about their quality and service. My last contact with them was about 10 years ago so don't know current status. Aircraft Spruce, as already mentioned, is also good. -Elon |
