Most serious cars have wheel speed sensors. many have EFI. The cost is is insignificant at that point.. Under $300 for TC so don't even start with the money involved to have it.. It is less than the entry fee even if you just use a slew rate rev limiter.. As long as it is just used to control the engine power output and does not effect the brakes or throttle position I don't see the issue at all. A car will go faster when it is not activated for the most part in a straight line as some slip is still desirable. It might be handy though if the track has some slick spots on it or the driver gets a little over zealous with the throttle though. It might even reduce tire failures as well. I consider it a safety device more than anything. We have had catastrophic tire failures do to excessive slip, is there a downside to possibly eliminating those things happening??
