Thanks Russ to the lead in on my favourite subject I agree with you 100% my
gut feeling is that unless some real smart cookie has found a way of getting
good Cd figures from the existing partial streamline rules as they now stand
sit on bikes dont stand a snowflakes chance in hell of attaining much
greater terminal velocities regardless of the amount of HP you produce we(
sit on cycles ) have very serious traction problems, I believe ( I may be
wrong ) that speed king ( john noonan ) was spinning his rear the whole run
as where the maxton busa's even on concreate unless there is some new
technology out soon that will allow much greater traction ( that is allowing
the full potental of all the HP produced to be used without slippage ) then
aerodynamics is the way to go and for reasons I cannot understand ( sorry
Joe ) that have been put forward as to why the partial streamline rules
cannot be changed or altered to allow much greater freedom in aero design
then the situation will remain static basically you can have as much HP as
you like BUT if you cannot put it to the ground efficiently its just" pissin
in the wind" but them figures sure is impressive :)
Gary ( waitin on a truck load of parts from the States )
