There were other attempts besides Tyrell at 6-wheel setups
(sometimes 4
wheels in front, sometimes in back!) Ultimately, they were
abandoned--
usually because of complexity, weight, etc, etc. In the end,
the traditional
4-wheel setup has prevailed but there were brief times when
other layouts
showed promise.
