Bill Ward solved some of the short wheelbase problems with all kinds of
wings and air dams. Ellen Christensen liked driving it at 216 mph but she
was a very talented driver. Too bad the cancer won the race before she was
able to take a pass with a strong engine. I think she would have had a red
hat running on "Cousin" George Potter's record.
