Wilhelm Herz was the first man to break 200 on a motorcycle. He set the
record @ 210.650 mph on a 500cc NSU at a private meet in July of 1956. I
can't tell you if he ran at speedweek that year. I am still looking at old
records. I was there in 56 and remember the NSU team being there. I will
work on this a little more and see if I can answer your question in a couple
of days.
