Congrads, Bruce...that is correct. The car was built by Quinn Epperly.
Quincy was a master who was best known for his innovative laydown Indy
roadsters. He also built Craig Breedlove's 3 wheeled car.

In addition to being a superb metalshaper, he was a practical
metallurgist. He developed several methods for successfully weld repairs
to alloy castings starting with Offy blocks and Hallibrand wheels.
Unfortunately, he passed away on January 7. He was 88 Years old. He
worked up to three years ago, when he suffered a stroke. I would have
loved to have spent a day in his shop, working along side of this
master.
