Jim Fredricks had a white Dodge Datona with black lettering. The car was called the "Fly Rod". He held the record in Altered class at about 219 I think. It was really a production car. He had an injected 426 Hemi in it. Great guy. He was interviewed by Speedvision one year, and when asked what keeps a 75 year old coming back to Bonneville each year, he said "My welfare check!"
