No fan blades. On my BT7, it's a squirrel cage held in place be a nut. I re=
cently rebuilt the blower motor because it was running slow, intermittently=
, or not at all. Yes, all three symptoms. I sanded the commutator and srap=
ed down the mica insulation between the copper segments. It works well now.=
BTW, the motor will blow in reverse despite what other internet resources =
you find. Google Information about rebuilding the motor.

Also, it is possible the nut for the pull wire for damper at the heater cor=
e is loose and the damper is remaining closed.

Subject: [Healeys] Blower Motor

Hi,
Happy New Year folks.
Cold here so I thought I'd turn the blower on to raise the temperature in m=
y MkII BT7 from frigid to cold. So far as I can see, there is nothing comin=
g out of said blower. No air, lukewarm or whatever. Now, the motor was runn=
ing....a) I could hear it and b) I could see the volt meter increase/decrea=
se for a second when I switched it on/off.
So, the question is:- Can the blades become detached from the spindle? ie s=
eemingly, we have the motor spinning but the blades remaining stationary. M=
ake sense? Anyone encountered this one?
Thanks,
Simon
