For those of you who have converted to the Toyota 5-speed: can you confirm
it is OK to tow the car with the rear wheels on the ground?
I towed a prior Healey with a Toyota W58 across country, and don't recall
having to remove the drive shaft - but can't be sure.
Michael Oritt- Did you ever get an answer on the Celica forum to whether the
W58 can be flat towed?
I need to tow my Austin-Healey with W58 for about 300 miles [Las Vegas to
Los Angeles].
For those of you who don't actually know and want to speculate: Yes, I do
know I could jack up the car, disconnect the drive shaft, secure the shaft
in a way it doesn't let the fluid leak out nor fall off the car, and then
repeat in the business lot where I am delivering the car.
----------------
All the best,
Al Fuller
